It\u00a0prohibits the sending of any type of electronic message that is commercial in nature unless the recipient has already provided consent.<\/p>\n<p>At 麻豆原创, Commercial Electronic Messages include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>School newsletters<\/li>\n<li>All fundraising (hot lunch, pizza day, school fairs\/BBQs)<\/li>\n<li>Field Trips<\/li>\n<li>Year Books<\/li>\n<li>Spirit Wear<\/li>\n<li>Student Photos, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Faxes, voicemails, and interactive two-way voice communications (eg. phone calls) between individuals are excluded from the definition of electronic address.<\/p>\n<h2>麻豆原创 Strives to be a Steward of the Earth<\/h2>\n<p>麻豆原创 strives to be a steward of the Earth and aims to reduce the use of paper whenever possible. It also recognizes the importance of communicating with its parent\/guardian community in a prompt and efficient manner that is appreciated by today\u2019s 21<sup>st<\/sup> century parents.\u00a0 When electronic communication methods are appropriate, we must comply with CASL.<\/p>\n<h2>Unsubscribing to CASL Messages<\/h2>\n<p>Should you choose not to receive emails of a commercial nature, please know that you will continue to receive general school information, attendance and emergency emails.<\/p>\n<p>Parents can unsubscribe from receiving commercial announcements by clicking on the \u201cunsubscribe\u201d link located in the e-mail they received.<\/p>\n<h2>Questions or Concerns?<\/h2>\n<p>When parents submit their contact information to the school and Board at the beginning of a new school year, or upon registration, consent to receive related commercial messages is collected.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions about CASL and\/or commercial electronic messages, please contact your child\u2019s school office or e-mail <a href=\"mailto:communications@ycdsb.ca\">communications@ycdsb.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For more information about Canada\u2019s New Anti-Spam Legislation visit: <a href=\"http:\/\/fightspam.gc.ca\/\">fightspam.gc.ca<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is CASL?
